Ama (thee Writer) is a Black feminist author, project manager, and freelance editor whose passions revolve around people and politics. In addition to her own creative writing, she works with individuals, creatives, and organizations to create art, work, and systems/processes that help make the world a little more free for all of us.

Like most DC kids, Ama began her working life through DC's Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) as a dancer at Atlas Dance Studios.
From there, she worked in food service and as an RA during undergrad, and after entering the Real World™, she continued building her resume in press/communications, project management, and strategic partnerships.
In addition to stints at Church’s Chicken, Chipotle, and Bull City Burgers and Brewery, Ama has worked at the National Women’s Law Center, FWD.us/the I Stand With Immigrants Initiative, and Prime Health.
